Terms and conditions

Who we are

These terms apply to every trip booked with Daymaniyat Islands Tours, Muscat, Oman: snorkeling, private boat, scuba diving, full-day, camping and dolphin trips. By paying a deposit, you agree to them.

Booking and payment

• You book on WhatsApp (+968 7646 4192) or by email. We confirm availability, the trip, the time and the total price before you pay.
• A 50% deposit confirms your booking. The rest is paid as agreed when we confirm it.
• You pay by a secure payment link from our payment provider, Amwalpay, with a credit or debit card or Apple Pay. Prices are charged in Omani rials (OMR); any currency conversion is done by your bank.
• Our published prices are before 5% VAT, which is added to the total.
• Children aged 3 to 12 pay the child price. Under-3s go free, except on overnight camping (10 OMR plus VAT).
• After you book, we send the exact meeting point and the captain’s phone number on WhatsApp.

Cancelling or changing your booking

• If you cancel more than 48 hours before departure, you get 50% of the total back, less a 5% payment processing fee.
• If you cancel within 48 hours of departure, or don’t show up, the booking is non-refundable. A no-show is not automatically moved to another date.
• Changing your date depends on availability and our approval. Extra charges may apply.
• Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually about 5 to 7 working days after we process them.

Arriving late

Please arrive about 15 minutes before departure. If you are running late, tell us on WhatsApp straight away: depending on the day, the boat may be able to wait 10 to 20 minutes. If the boat has to leave without you, there is no refund; our team may offer a new date, depending on the situation.

Weather, safety and the captain’s decisions

• Trips can be delayed, changed or cancelled because of rough seas, strong winds, unsafe currents, poor conditions or restrictions from the authorities. Safety comes before the planned itinerary.
• If we cancel before departure because of the weather or the sea, you get a full refund with no deductions, or a new date.
• If the weather turns during the trip and we have to come back early, a partial refund may be given, decided by our team depending on how much of the trip took place.
• The captain chooses the snorkel and dive spots on the day, and the island on full-day and camping trips, according to the conditions. We can’t promise a particular spot.
• Please follow the crew’s instructions at all times.

Health and fitness

• Everyone gets a life jacket on our boats. Non-swimmers can stay on the boat. Children must stay with an adult at all times.
• The sea can be choppy and boats can move suddenly. If you are pregnant or have a medical condition, check with your doctor before booking.
• Discover Scuba guests must be 14 or over, fill in a medical questionnaire and liability release, and be approved by the instructor. Certified divers must show a valid certification card when booking. Everyone must be sober to dive.
• Extra rules for divers, such as maximum depths and refreshers, are on the scuba diving page. A skipped second dive on the two-dive trip is not refunded.

Wildlife, seasons and the nature reserve

• Turtles, dolphins, sharks and other wildlife are wild animals and are never guaranteed. There is no refund if they are not seen.
• Island beaches are open for landing from November to April only. From May to October they are closed for turtle nesting, so full-day and camping trips don’t run.
• Don’t chase, touch or feed marine life, don’t stand on coral, and take all your rubbish back with you.

On board and at the camp

• Please wear modest clothing at the marina. You can change into swimwear on board.
• Smoking, music, drones and, on the camping trip, alcohol are allowed in moderation, as long as they don’t disturb other guests or wildlife. On the camping trip there is no music at night and no campfires.
• Pets are not allowed on the camping trip.
• Hotel transport is not included. We can arrange it for an extra fee, agreed before you book.

Photos

Our crew only take photos or videos of guests with their consent, and we ask your permission before using any of them on our website or social media.
