Are island permits included in the price?
Yes. All required Daymaniyat Islands nature reserve permits are included in your daymaniyat islands snorkeling price. There are no hidden fees your booking covers boat transport, snorkeling gear, permits, and crew guidance.
Do you offer private snorkeling tours?

From where does the tour depart?
All daymaniyat snorkeling from Seeb tours depart from Seeb Marina, conveniently located about 30 minutes from central Muscat. Exact meeting point details will be provided upon booking confirmation.
What is included in the snorkeling tour?
Your tour includes: return boat transfer from Seeb Marina, professional snorkeling equipment
(mask, fins, snorkel), life jacket, government island permit, bottled water, and expert guidance from
our crew. Reef-safe sunscreen is not included please bring your own.
What should I bring on the snorkeling tour?
Pack your swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen (required to protect the coral reef), a hat,
sunglasses, and a reusable water bottle. An underwater camera or GoPro is highly recommended.
Leave valuables at your hotel. All snorkeling equipment is provided.
Is there a toilet on the boat?
Yes, our boat has an onboard toilet for guest use during the trip.
Can women wear a bikini on the boat?
Please dress modestly when arriving at Seeb Marina out of respect for local customs. Once the
boat has departed, swimwear including bikinis is perfectly fine for snorkeling.
What is the water temperature at the Daymaniyat Islands?
Water temperature is warm year-round. In summer (June–September) surface temperatures reach
up to 30–32°C. In winter (November–February) the surface is around 24–26°C. The water gets cooler
at depth. No wetsuit is required for snorkeling.
How clear is the water at the Daymaniyat Islands?
Visibility at the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve can reach 10–15 metres on calm days, making
it the clearest snorkeling water in Oman. Visibility is best between October and May.
What marine life will I see while snorkeling?
Expect to see green and hawksbill sea turtles, stingrays, clownfish, parrotfish, moray eels, reef
sharks, barracuda, and schools of tropical fish over healthy coral reefs. Between July and September,
whale shark sightings are also possible on the boat journey.
Can I see whale sharks at the Daymaniyat Islands?
Yes! Whale shark sightings are most common between July and September as they pass through
on their annual migration. When whale sharks are spotted, our captain stops the boat so guests can
enter the water and snorkel alongside them. Sightings cannot be guaranteed but occur regularly
during this season.
Are dolphins guaranteed on the snorkeling tour?
Dolphin sightings are not guaranteed, but spinner and bottlenose dolphins are frequently spotted
during the boat crossing. Our captain actively looks for dolphin activity on every trip.
How many snorkeling sites do we visit?
We visit two different snorkeling sites during each tour, selected on the day based on sea
conditions and marine life activity.
Do I need to know how to swim to snorkel?
You should be comfortable in open water to enjoy snorkeling. However, life jackets are mandatory
and our guides remain in the water with you at all times. If you are not a confident swimmer, please let
us know when booking so we can provide extra support.
Is hotel pickup included?
Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included in the standard tour price. Guests arrive at Seeb Marina
independently by taxi, Careem, or private car. Free parking is available at the marina. We can
recommend taxi apps if needed.
Can I join if I am pregnant?
We do not recommend joining a boat tour if you are pregnant due to the possibility of rough sea
conditions. Please consult your doctor and contact us for advice before booking.
