What is included in the Overnight Camping Tour?
The 2-day camping experience includes: return boat transfer from Seeb Marina, two snorkeling sessions, a BBQ dinner on the beach, breakfast, camping tents with blankets and mattresses, snacks and drinks throughout, portable phone chargers, and guided walks. The camping season runs November to April when beach access is permitted.
When can I camp on the Daymaniyat Islands?
Camping is only available from November to April each year. From May to October, beach access is restricted to protect nesting sea turtles and migratory birds. Snorkeling and diving tours continue year-round regardless of camping season.
Can I see sea turtles nesting at night on the camping tour?
Yes! The Daymaniyat Islands are one of the most important nesting sites for hawksbill and green sea turtles in Oman. During the camping tour, guides lead a supervised night walk along the beach to watch turtles come ashore to nest one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences in Oman.
Is bioluminescence visible at the Daymaniyat Islands?
Yes, bioluminescence (glowing plankton) is sometimes visible in the water at night, particularly during warmer months. Your guide will point it out if conditions are right it's one of the magical highlights of the camping experience.
Are there toilet facilities on the island for campers?
